UPDATE: Man Hit By Car; Driver Not Charged

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- New details are being released about an accident that sent a man to the hospital.

Deputies say a man was walking down the middle of West Washington Street between Dunbar and Cross Lanes when he was hit by a car. It happened about 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

Deputies say the man who was hit was intoxicated. He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the car was not hurt. No charges will be filed against the driver.

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A pedestrian had to be taken to the hospital after he was hit by a car Saturday night.

The accident happened about 10:30 p.m. in the 4200 block of Washington Street West in Little Tyler.

Dispatchers tell WSAZ.com that the man has been taken to the hospital. His condition is unknown.
