Point Pleasant Couple Arrested in Connection with Gallia Burglary & Theft Ring

GALLIPOLIS, Ohio (WSAZ) – Two people from Point Pleasant, W.Va. have been arrested in connection with their alleged roles in a burglary and theft ring in Gallia County, Ohio.

Gallia County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Jason C. Roach, 30, and Kelly D. Veazey, 28, on Sunday after they were recently indicted by a Gallia County Grand Jury.

Roach is charged with three counts of burglary and four counts of theft. Veazey is charged with one count of burglary and one count of theft.

Sheriff Joe Browning tells WSAZ.com that the charges for Roach stem from a home burglary on State Route 325 in Bidwell last October, and a home burglary on Buckeye Hills Road in Thurman last August.

According to the indictment, Veazey is also charged with the Bidwell burglary.

Some of the items they are accused of taking include a tv, a gun, an atv, jewelry and tools

Sheriff Joe Browning says deputies have been conducting extensive burglary and theft investigations since last year and these indictments are a result of the investigations thus far.

Brown expects more people to be arrested.
