Police Chase Ends in Arrest; Driver Faces Fleeing and DUI Charges

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man already wanted by police is now behind bars, accused of drinking behind the wheel and running from police.

South Charleston Police say Robert Pack, 55, led police on a car chase early Sunday morning.

The pursuit started in Hamlin and ended near Cabela's in South Charleston when police say Pack's car died.

Investigators say Pack ran from the scene before being captured by officers a short time later.

Pack is now facing a list of charges including fleeing and 3rd offense DUI.

Police say before this chase, there were already several warrants out for Pack including fleeing and obstructing.

He is in the South Central Regional Jail with a bond set at $5,000.
