CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The driver of a car who led police on a wild chase is now behind bars.

Derrick Clark turned himself in Friday afternoon.

Police stopped Clark at the Oakwood Exit on I-64 Wednesday night. When officers got out of their cruiser -- Clark sped off.

Police say Clark led them on a chase through Charleston which ended on Wyoming Street.

Clark has been charged with fleeing from police.

Dario Martin was also in the car with Clark during the chase.

Police say the whole incident started when Martin pulled a gun on a woman in South Charleston.

Police caught Martin with more than a pound of marijuana and a gun -- furthermore he's a convicted felon.

Martin is currently in jail on robbery and drug charges.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- New details are being released about a high-speed chase that stretched across two cities.

According to Police, say Dario Martin pulled a gun on a woman in South Charleston Wednesday night and then took off in a car with another man.

Police were able to stop them at the Oakwood Exit on I-64.

According to police, Martin, who was the passenger in the car, threw a gun out of the window and the driver of the car took off leading police on a chase through Charleston.

The chase finally came to an end on Wyoming Street.

The driver of the car took off on foot and Martin was arrested.

Police say they also found more than a pound of marijuana on Martin when he was arrested.

Police are still looking for the driver of the car.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- One suspect was arrested and another remains on the run after a high-speed police chase ended on Charleston’s west side.

Officers took a suspect into custody near Delaware Avenue about 10:15 Thursday night.

According to the South Charleston Police Department, it started in South Charleston when the driver pulled a gun on a woman near the Montrose exit of I-64.

Police say she flagged down an officer, and that's when the suspects took off in their car.

Officers eventually pulled over and arrested the passenger after a brief foot chase.

The driver ran away, but police say they have information on him and expect to make an arrest soon.

No one was injured.
