NEW BOSTON, Ohio (WSAZ) -- Police say no one was hurt after drunk driver crashed into house in New Boston, Ohio early Friday morning.

The incident happened in the 3800 block of Gallia Street just after 1:30 a.m.

Captain Steve Goins with New Boston Police says James Peano, 41, of New Boston, was arrested a short time later and charged with Driving While under the Influence of Alcohol, Leaving the Scene of An Accident, Failure to Control A Motor Vehicle, and Unauthorized Use of A Motor Vehicle, all Misdemeanor charges.

The owner of the home told police that after her house was hit, she saw a truck leaving the scene heading the wrong way on Gallia Street.

A short time later police say they found the truck in the 3900 block of Rhodes Avenue and a man later identified as Peano standing next to the truck.

Goins says Peano admitted to officers he was driving the truck when he lost control and crashed into the house.

Police say the truck actually belongs to a relative and that Peano took it with out permission.

The house had extensive damage.
