DUNBAR, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Police in Dunbar are looking for a man they say sexually assaulted a woman Thursday morning.
They say he knocked on her door on Lightner Avenue about 8:30 a.m. and attacked her when she opened it. They say he struck her in the face and forced her to the ground before raping her.
Neighbors say the incident has shattered their sense of security. "It concerns me... since it happened right down the street," Samantha Smith said. "Somebody who is twice my size could easily break in and do something to me."
The suspect is described as a black male with curly hair standing somewhere between 5'10'' and 6.'' Police say he got away in a compact, light green car.
Anyone with information is asked to call Dunbar Police.
