CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A popular West Side restaurant was hit by burglars during the weekend.
Mi Cocina de Amor was broken into and burglarized sometime between 10 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Monday.
Owner Frank Gonzales III told WSAZ.com by phone Monday night that the burglars took off with several iPads that were in white cases. The thieves also raided the restaurant's liquor supply.
Gonzales and his wife just opened a second location called Little Mi Cocina on Charleston's East End.
They are also participating in a new venture with Uncork and Create called "Uncork and Create Kitchen." Gonzales and participants will cook the inaugural meal at Charleston's Art Walk on Aug. 21.
Gonzales says, despite the break-in, the restaurant will be back open Tuesday as usual.
