KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- New information is being release surrounding the arrest of Norma Fields, the wife of Pratt Mayor Gary Fields.
The Kanawha County Sheriff's Office says Tuesday, they were dispatched to the Pratt Municipal building in regards to a personal safety order violation.
They say Kathy Fisher filed a personal safety order against Norma Fields, 56, of Pratt, on September 26. The order was to be in effect until October 30, when a hearing was scheduled.
Deputies say Fields went to Fisher's office Tuesday to ask about a city fee, then started discussing the personal safety order. They say Fields left, then returned a short time later, and yelled at Fisher through a mail slot in the office door.
A contractor who was in the building witnessed the incident.
An arrest warrant was filed for Fields and she was picked up at her home in Pratt Tuesday night. She was charged with violating a personal safety order.
She was arraigned on the charge and bond was set at $2500 surety or 10% cash. Her bond was not posted, so she was taken to the South Central Regional Jail.
