PRESTONSBURG, Ky. (WSAZ) -- Police have arrested two Prestonsburg High School students and charged them with making threats.
Police say the alleged threats are not directly related.
Prestonsburg Police Chief Mike Ormerod says the first student was arrested Sunday night and charged with second-degree terroristic threatening after police say the student threatened to shoot students and teachers
Ormerod said police are still investigating, but it appears after interviewing the teen and other students this weekend that the student intended to go through with the plan.
The other student who was arrested is accused of making threats about specific people. That student was charged with third-degree terroristic threatening.
Since both students are juveniles, their names are not being released.
