PUTNAM COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Drivers weren't worried about their pedals sticking Monday night because they were all about crashing.
The Putnam County Fair sponsored one of its most popular events of the week, the Demolition Derby.
Dozens of drivers strapped on their helmets and headed right toward one another. One driver tells WSAZ.com it doesn't get any better than the demolition derby.
"It's just a blast, it is a blast. If you've never done it, if you would ever do it, you would be hooked, Doyle McDonald, derby driver said.
The Putnam County Fair runs through Saturday.
The fair kicks off at 9 a.m. Saturday at the fairgrounds.
This year's schedule is packed with a variety of events, including demolition derbys, motocross competitions, carnival rides, concerts and much more.
The fair continues through July 20.
