Man Shot and Killed in Raleigh County; Names Released

RALEIGH COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A fight at a bar in Raleigh County ended with one man dead and another in jail.

It happened about 2 a.m. Sunday at the Hillbilly's Tavern on Coal River Road.

Police say Donald Moore got into a fight with James Williams inside the Tavern. The fight eventually moved outside, where deputies say Moore shot Williams.

Williams died from his injuries. Moore turned himself in shortly after the shooting.

Moore has been charged with first-degree murder. He is in the Southern Regional Jail.

RALEIGH COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) --Deputies in Raleigh County are investigating an early morning shooting in Rock Creek, W.Va.

It happened about 2 a.m. Sunday at the Hillbilly's Tavern on Coal River Road.

Police say Donald Moore got into a fight with a man inside the Tavern. The fight eventually moved outside, where deputies say Moore shot the man.

The victim died shortly after from his injuries.

Moore was taken into custody later after turning himself in. He is now in the Southern Regional Jail.

The name of the victim has not been released at this time.
