UPDATE 11/28/10 pm
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- West Virginia American Water Service says water was restored Sunday about 1:30 p.m.
A boil water advisory is in effect for at least 24 hours.
Repairs on the water main break on Route 60 are taking longer than expected, according to West Virginia American Water.
The water service should be restored by 4:30 p.m. Sunday, but a boil water advisory will follow that restoration.
For more information, you can contact West Virginia American Water's customer service at 1-800-685-8660.
Customers along Route 60 East from the Chelyan Bridge to Shrewsbury are affected.
This advisory comes after a water main break that left several customers out of water.
West Virginia American Water crews are on the scene working to repair the break and restore service.
Water service is expected to be restored after midnight.
After water comes back on, customers should still boil their water until further notice.
