UPDATE: Arrest Made in Dollar Store Robbery

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- An arrest has been made in connection with an armed robbery in South Charleston.

Police tell WSAZ.com a man walked into the Family Dollar on October 23rd and pulled out a small handgun. He demanded money and got away with several thousand dollars.

Moses Jamar Wright was in the store at the time of the robbery filling out a job application.

Police say when they questioned Wright he admitted to working with the robbery suspect. He was caught on surveillance inside the store before the robbery.

Wright told police he was supposed to split the money and admitted to getting several hundred dollars in stolen cash, according to the criminal complaint.

So far the other person accused of robbing the store has not been arrested.

Wright has been charged with armed robbery.

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- South Charleston Police are reviewing surveillance video after an armed robbery a dollar store.

Family Dollar along MacCorkle Avenue was robbed just before 10 p.m. Wednesday.

Police say a man pulled out a gun and demanded cash.

They say he got away in a maroon car, that was possibly being driven by someone else.

Police say they are following up on several leads in the case.

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The man who walked into a Family Dollar store along MacCorkle Avenue late Wednesday night pulled out a gun and demanded cash, Metro 911 dispatchers say.

It happened just before 10 p.m. Wednesday.

The man got away in a maroon car. Police also are searching for a getaway driver.

No one was hurt.

K-9 units are out searching for the suspect.

Police say he should be considered armed and dangerous.

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Police are on the scene of a robbery late Wednesday night at the Family Dollar in South Charleston, Metro 911 dispatchers say.

It happened about 10:15 p.m. Wednesday.

The Family Dollar is located in the 4900 block of MacCorkle Avenue.

Dispatchers say no arrests have been made just yet.

No other details have been released.
