UPDATE: Route 21 in Charleston Back Open Following Rock Slide

UPDATE: 3/2/14 @ 5:50 p.m.
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Both lanes or Route 21 in Charleston are now back open following a rock slide Sunday afternoon.

It happened just after 2:00 p.m. Sunday between Washington Street West and Chandler Drive.

After several hours of cleaning up the road, it reopened just after 5:00 p.m.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Emergency crews are on the scene of a rock slide that has closed Route 21 in both directions.

911 dispatchers say the slide happened just after 2:00 p.m. Sunday between Washington Street West and Chandler Drive.

Crews with the WV Division of Highways are also headed to the scene.

No injuries have been reported.

It's unclear how long the road will be closed.
