PAINTSVILLE, Ky. (WSAZ) -- The Johnson County Sheriff says a working moonshine still was found inside a home in Van Lear, Ky.

Sheriff Dwayne Price says the still was found in a kitchen in the home on South Burglar Hollow.

Sheriff Price say four children were in the house at the time of the bust.

Price says investigators confiscated more than two quarts of moonshine.

One woman was arrested at the home and charged with four counts of misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a minor, and one count of misdemeanor “apparatus for unlawful manufacturing alcoholic beverage".

Price says this is the first still they’ve had in years in the county.
