Elderly Man Found after Issue of Silver Alert

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A 92-year-old man whose disappearance prompted a statewide Silver Alert was found late Wednesday night, West Virginia State Police say.

Charles Henry Overbaugh of Chesapeake, W.Va., was found at the head of Witcher Creek in Kanawha County.

He was found just after 11:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Troopers say it appears Overbaugh is in OK condition. It was unknown if he would have to go to a hospital for medical evaluation.

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A Silver Alert has been issued statewide Wednesday night for a missing 92-year-old man.

Charles Henry Overbaugh, 92, of Chesapeake, W.Va., was last seen on 128th Street in Chesapeake.

He may be traveling south on W.Va. 61 between Kanawha City and Marmet. The car is described as a black 1995 Toyota Tacoma with a brush guard on the front. The West Virginia registration is 5F-8521.

Overbaugh is described as about 5 feet, 5 inches tall and about 146 pounds. He has white hair and hazel eyes.

He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a light-colored shirt and a gray sweater.

Troopers and Overbaugh's family were out searching all night. Family members said they discovered his car gone and his front door open and unlocked, which they say is out of character for him.

Anyone with any information about Overbaugh's whereabouts is asked to call West Virginia State Police or a local 911 agency.
