UPDATE: Man Charged with First-Degree Robbery after Standoff

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man involved in a standoff with Huntington Police Monday night has been charged with first-degree robbery

The incident took place in the 500 block of 6th Street. It began about 7:15 p.m., and ended about two hours later when DeMarco Roosevelt Bradberry, 36, of Huntington, was arrested.

About 7:15 p.m. Monday, a man who lives in the 500 block of 6th Street said he was threatened with a gun by a man (Bradberry) who forced him into his home and demanded money, according to the criminal complaint. Once inside, Bradberry also demanded money from the victim’s girlfriend.

After getting approximately $150, the victim’s said Bradbery fled the house and went to a neighboring residence,

The victim’s then called police who set up a perimeter around the area.

Bradberry and seven other people finally exited the house after police used a bullhorn to order everyone to come out. The others were questioned but not arrested.

Police say that inside the residence, they about $195 in cash and a black airsoft pistol.

No one was hurt during the incident.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man has been taken into custody Monday night after a standoff situation at a home in the 500 block of 6th Street, Huntington Police say.

Charges are pending against the man. Seven other people who were hiding out in the home will be questioned, police say. The people came out of the home one-by-one as officers used a bullhorn to issue orders.

The incident was reported about 7:30 p.m. Monday when a man was involved in a home invasion/armed robbery. Police say that man ran to a nearby home where he hid before coming out with the other people.

No weapon has been recovered, and no one was hurt.

Police say the suspect will be arraigned later Monday night in Cabell County Magistrate Court.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A home invasion and armed robbery in the 500 block of 6th Street has led to a standoff between Huntington Police and a man Monday evening, Cabell County 911 dispatchers say.

Surrounding streets are blocked off as police try to get the man out of the home.

Dispatchers say the man ran from the home where the robbery and home invasion occurred to a nearby home.

The incident was reported about 7:30 p.m. Monday, and guns have been drawn as police work to get their suspect.
