Standoff in Lincoln County Leads to Arrest

LINCOLN COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man is behind bars after West Virginia State police say he threatened to kill officers, and himself.

It happened about 10 p.m Sunday at a home just off Two Mile Road near Branchland, in Lincoln County.

State Police say the standoff last about three hours.

They say Ronald Coleman, 62, threatened to kill officers, himself, and set his home on fire.

Investigators say Coleman had a gun, but his brother was able to get it away from him, and Coleman was taken into custody.

He is charged with wanton endangerment, brandishing, and assault on police officers.
