KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Several roads were closed early Wednesday morning after a storm pushed through the Kanawha Valley.
A large pine tree snapped during the storm and is blocking Kelleys Creek Road in Cedar Grove. Crews have been out all morning trying to move the tree from the road.
This tree also snapped a utility pole and took some lines down. A crew with AEP is also on the scene making repairs. Power in the area is expected to be restored by 11 a.m. Wednesday.
There was also a report about trees down on Crown Hill Drive in East Bank. That road is open to traffic.
There was also some trees down in Pratt.
The heavy rain caused some nuisance flooding overnight along Roxalana Road in Dunbar, according to dispatchers.
In Boone County, a downed tree also blocked Route 85 in Robinson. Dispatcher says a tree took down power lines and then a car hit both the pole and tree.
