WAYNE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) – Frustrated neighbors were left thinking, “Here we go again,” after severe weather knocked power out for thousands in the region.
The lights are back out at James Caldwell's home in East Lynn. After the derecho three weeks ago, his power was out for 10 days.
"It's heart-sinking when it goes off again that quick," he said.
Caldwell's generator he'd just bought for that last storm is being put to use again sooner than he'd have liked.
The heavy rain damaged several roads in East Lynn, taking out a chunk of Tiger Fork.
A crew from AEP was out on Four Mile Road Thursday evening after a tree fell on power lines.
Jerry Osborne’s power went out at his home on Camp Creek Road. He says the theme of power going off is not exclusive to this summer.
"I've lived here about 62 years,” Osborne said. “This is nothing new. It's just really aggravating."
