UPDATE: Route 2 Reopens Following Accident

UPDATE 8/25/14 @ 2 p.m.
CABELL COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) – A portion of Route 2 in Cabell County that was closed due to a tractor trailer crash Monday morning is back open.

Dispatchers tell WSAZ.com the semi hit a "bad area" in the road which caused the trailer to buckle.

It happened just before 5 a.m., shutting down Route 2 between the turnoff to the Merritt's Creek Connector and Hillview Drive which is on the Huntington side of the connector.

CABELL COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A tractor trailer accident has caused a stretch of Route 2 in Cabell County to be closed until 8 a.m.

Dispatchers tell WSAZ.com that a tractor trailer hit a "bad area" in the road which caused the trailer to buckle.

It happened just before 5 a.m., shutting down both directions of Route 2 between the turnoff to the Merritt's Creek Connector and Hillview Drive which is on the Huntington side of the connector..

There does not appear to be injuries involved in the accident.
