Student Being Charged with Making False Bomb Threats
POMEROY, Ohio (WSAZ) -- An 18-year-old student at Meigs High School faces charges of making false bomb threats at the school.
Meigs County Deputy Sgt. Scott Trussell tells WSAZ.com that Christopher Meadow, 18, of Shade, confessed to making the threats.
Trussell says there were two separate threats left on the schools’ voice mail, one last week and one earlier this week. The one on Tuesday forced administrators to send students home for the day.
Prosecutor Colleen Williams tells WSAZ.com that Meadows is being charged with two misdemeanors, attempting to induce panic and inducing panic.
The charges are being filed in Meigs County Municipal Court. No court date has been set.
Meigs County Principal Steve Ohlinger tells WSAZ.com that “appropriate disciplinary action has been taken with the student.”
