POINT PLEASANT, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man wielding a knife and threatening employees robbed a Point Pleasant restaurant Tuesday night.
The robbery happened at the Subway Restaurant in the 2500 block of Jackson Avenue around 10:40 p.m., just as the employees were beginning to close the store.
Police tell WSAZ.com that the man came into the store carrying a knife and demanded the employee to open the cash register.
The employee opened the register and the thief stole an unknown amount of money
He then fled on foot, but none of the witnesses saw an accomplice or a getaway car.
Police say the man was wearing a black hooded-sweatshirt, a black pair of jeans, and a black mask.
There were no injuries reported during the robbery.
Police say they have some persons of interest. They plan viewing surveillance video from the store..
