Suspect Arrested in Bus Bomb Threats

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) – Police say they have arrested the man who called in a bomb threat against three TTA buses last week.

Wednesday, Huntington Police arrested and charged Charles Anthony Ford, 28, with making threat of terrorist acts.

According to the criminal complaint on August 27, Ford called the TTA bus station and said there were three bombs on three separate buses; one in Kenova, one on 16th Street and I-64, and one at the bus station on Virginia Avenue.

Police say Ford was charged after investigators traced the phone number the threat call came from to him and verified by the victim of the threat.

Ford is being held in the Western Regional Jail.
