MASON COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- West Virginia State Police say the suspect in a murder in Letart, West Virginia. was found dead Friday afternoon in Roane County, West Virginia.
Charles Anderson, 60, was found dead in a wooded area off Sandy Hollow Road in Roane County, according to West Virginia State Police.
Investigators say he died from an apparent self-inflicted gun shot wound.
WVSP says a passing motorist noticed Anderson's abandoned truck along Sandy Hollow Road and called police. When officers arrived at the scene, they matched the truck to Anderson and later found him dead in nearby woods.
Charles Anderson was wanted for the murder of his wife, 54-year-old Kathy Anderson. She was found shot to death inside her home in Letart on Wednesday.
On Wednesday, neighbors reported to WSAZ.com that the couple had recently separated and had been fighting in recent weeks.
