UPDATE: Corridor G Reopens After Downed Power Lines

UPDATE 7/8/13 @ 12 p.m.
KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Traffic is moving again along Corridor G in Kanawha County after a tractor trailer hit some power lines and pulled them down on the road.

The accident happened about 10 a.m. Monday at the intersection of Sand Plant Road.

Sand Plant Road was closed for nearly two hours until the road was cleared.

Emergency officials say a utility pole was leaning on Sand Plant Road and that caused the power lines to hang low across Corridor G.

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Corridor G is closed in Kanawha County after a tractor trailer snagged some power lines and pulled them down into the road.

The accident happened about 10 a.m. Monday at the intersection of Sand Plant Road.

Emergency officials say a utility pole was leaning on Sand Plant Road and that caused the power lines to hang low across Corridor G.

Traffic is being diverted off the Corridor G at Childress Road.

Emergency crews do not know how long the road will be closed.
