UPDATE 8/25/14 @ 10:05 p.m.
KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A 16-year-old girl from Cross Lanes reported missing Aug. 10 still has not been found, and deputies fear she could be in danger, the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office says.

Ericka Brown's parents discovered her missing from her home earlier this month and immediately called 911.

Detectives have been scouring phone records, surveillance footage, and investigating any tips received. They’re asking for expanded media attention in other areas, including Wood County, West Virginia, Athens County, Ohio, and the Columbus, Ohio, market. The investigation has led them to believe Ericka was last heading that direction in the early morning hours the Sunday she disappeared.

Ericka is 5 feet, 1 inch tall and weighs about 100 pounds. She has long, sandy blonde hair. It is believed she left the house on her own, but may have been the victim of a crime after leaving.

If you have any information, you are asked to call the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office at 304-357-0169, your local 911 center or submit a tip online to www.kanawhasheriff.us.
