UPDATE: Wrong-Way Crash Sends Three People to the Hospital

CROSS LANES, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Three people were hurt Wednesday afternoon in a wrong-way crash that snarled the evening commute on Interstate 64.

Kanawha County Sheriff's deputies say an 85-year-old man became disoriented and got onto the westbound lanes going the wrong direction.

He crashed into two other cars. It happened about 3:45 p.m. Wednesday.

The names and conditions of those hurt have not been released.

Police tell WSAZ.com, an elderly man became disoriented and got onto the interstate going the wrong way.

He hit two other cars. Three people were sent to the hospital.

There names and conditions have not been released.

CROSS LANES, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Emergency crews are on the scene of a three-car crash on I-64 West in Cross Lanes.

It happened just before the Cross Lanes exit about 3:45 p.m. Wednesday.

Dispatchers tell WSAZ.com two people have been hurt in the crash.

It is unclear if the westbound lanes are closed, but dispatchers say traffic is slow in the area.
