UPDATE 12/20/13 @ 1 p.m.
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Charges against three University of Charleston football players have been dismissed.
According to court records, the drug charges were dropped against Bryant Leighton, Reggie Dillingham, Markel Vaughn and Ronald Kelley. They were arrested last May.
No other information was immediately available, including why the charges were dismissed.
Police say they intercepted a package of marijuana on its way to a house along Callie Road and then arrested Bryant Leighton, Reggie Dillingham, Markel Vaughn and Ronald Kelley at that house.
Leighton, Dillingham and Kelley, all members of the Golden Eagles football team, have been suspended. They face possession with intent to deliver charges. All are out on bond.
This is the second mass arrest of University of Charleston athletes in the last few weeks. Just last month, three basketball players were arrested on robbery charges.
