UPDATE 7/7/13 @ 4:30 p.m.
KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Emergency crews on the scene of a tractor trailer accident say weather is to blame.
Police say the driver of the Nationwide Express truck hydroplaned and lost control on I-77 South near the Sharon exit, Sunday afternoon.
The truck went over the median, destroying part of it -- before crossing into the northbound lanes and destroying part of a guardrail.
The driver was treated at the scene, and nobody else was injured.
Police say debris from the truck did hit several other cars -- causing minor damage.
Some lanes are still closed during the clean-up; however, traffic is able to move through in both directions.
It happened about 2:30 p.m. in Cabin Creek.
Turnpike officials say the truck rolled over and went through the median. They say it was blocking both southbound lanes and one northbound lane.
As of 3:55 p.m. police say one lane in both directions is open while crews continue to clean up the mess.
The driver of the tractor trailer received minor injuries, but no word whether he was taken to the hospital or not.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
