Westbound Lanes of I-64 Reopen Near Hal Greer Exit in Huntington

CABELL COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The westbound lanes of Interstate 64 have reopened Monday evening after a crash earlier in the day, Cabell County 911 dispatchers say.

Traffic is backed up in the area and will be slow moving for a while.

The crash happened about 1 p.m. Monday at the 11-mile marker, just west of the Hal Greer Exit. A construction crane rolled over in that area.

There was no word if anyone was hurt.

The westbound lanes are still shut down.

The eastbound lanes are open at this time, and traffic is moving smoothly.

No word when the westbound lanes will reopen.

CABELL COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Traffic is backed up on Interstate 64 after a crash early Monday afternoon.

Cabell County 911 Dispatchers tell WSAZ.com the crash happened about 1 p.m. at the 11 mile marker, just west of the Hal Greer exit.

The crash happened in the eastbound lanes.

Huntington Police say a construction crane rolled over at the 11 mile marker.

Right now, the westbound lanes are closed from the 15 mile marker to the 8 mile marker. The West Virginia Department of Transportation says the lanes are expected to be closed until around 4:30.

Westbound traffic is being diverted off the interstate at the 29th Street exit.

Eastbound lanes remain open at this time, but traffic is moving slowly.
