Traffic Stop Leads to Heroin Bust

PORTMOUTH, Ohio (WSAZ) –Two men from Columbus, Ohio have been arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop by Portsmouth Police.

Police say Kejuan Jerome Skinner-Byrd, 19, and Courtney L. Anderson, 26, were arrested during the traffic stop near the intersection of 10th St. and John Street early Tuesday morning.

During a search of the vehicle, officers say they seized approximately 12 grams of heroin packaged for sale hidden in the dash. They also seized $868 in cash from Anderson. Officers estimated the heroin has a street value of over $1,600.

Anderson and Skinner-Byrd are charged with Trafficking and Possession of Heroin.

Both men are in the Scioto County Jail
