UPDATE: Both Lanes Reopen on Turnpike Near Paint Creek

UPDATE 12/19/13 @ 11:28 p.m.
PAINT CREEK, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Both lanes are back open on the West Virginia Turnpike following an accident.

Both Southbound lanes reopened about 10 o'clock.

According to Metro 911 the accident happened when a truck went underneath a tractor trailer.

Traffic is back to normal in the area.

PAINT CREEK, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- One lane is back open on the West Virginia Turnpike following an accident.

One Southbound lane opened up about 9 o'clock.

Traffic is moving slow through the area.

PAINT CREEK, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The Turnpike is shut down near the Paint Creek exit on I-77 South due to an accident.

According to a Turnpike Dispatcher first responders are working to cut someone out of a vehicle. Metro 911 Dispatchers tell WSAZ.com that one person was already rescued from the wreckage.

One person will be flown to the hospital.

According to Metro 911 the accident happened when a truck went underneath a tractor trailer.

Both Southbound lanes are closed one mile before the Paint Creek Exit, which is about the 75 mile marker.
