PROCTORVILLE, Ohio (WSAZ) -- Two men have been arrested in connection with the armed robbery of a woman making a business deposit at a bank Sunday morning.

The robbery happened at the US Bank in Proctorville just after 10 a.m.

Lawrence County Sheriff Jeff Lawless says the victim was a female employee of the Speedway in Proctorville.

Sheriff Lawless say that two men approached the woman as she was depositing the gas station's money. Lawless says one of the men had a knife. After taking the money, the men fled on foot.

The Sheriff says that witnesses told deputies where the two men went following the robbery. During a search in the 100 block of Township Road 1143, the two suspects were found hiding in a home that was under construction.

Zach Taubenheim, 28, and Craig Wysong, 24, both of Proctorville, were arrested.

They are being charged with aggravated robbery and breaking and entering.

“My deputies did a great job and reacted quickly to resolve this situation,” said Sheriff Jeff lawless. “The involvement of the citizens who witnessed this incident and provided us the information is to be commended.”

The men are being held in the Lawrence County Jail and are expected to be arraigned Monday morning.

The Speedway employee was not hurt.
