Two Arrested in Motel Meth Bust

NITRO, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Two people are facing charges after police say they were making meth in a motel room in Nitro.

Officers were called to the Economy Inn on 1st Avenue Wednesday about 11:30 p.m.

They went to Room 206 and spoke with Richard Carr and Etassa Jarrell.

Nitro Police tell WSAZ.com, they noticed a strong chemical odor so they searched the room and found a meth lab.

Carr and Jarrell were arrested and charged with operating a meth lab.

Room 206 has been closed. It will have to be cleaned and tested before guests will be allowed to use it again.

The rest of the motel is still open.
