BOYD COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ)-- Two people have been arrested on separate drug charges in Boyd County.
Deputies say an undercover officer bought heroin from Jerome Smith. After Smith was arrested, deputies found more drugs on him. He's charged with three counts of trafficking a controlled substance.
Boyd County deputies also arrested Evelyn King of Ashland. After a drug investigation, deputies received a warrant to search her home. That's where they found oxycodone, xanex and marijuana. Four children, between 14 months and nine years old were also in the home.
King has been charged with three counts of drug trafficking and possession, as well as wanton endangerment.
