1,100 Pills Seized in Traffic Stop; Michigan Pair Arrested

LUCASVILLE, Ohio (WSAZ) -- Two people face felony drug charges following a traffic where troopers seized more than 1,000 pills.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says the traffic stopped happened on U.S. 23 in Lucasville Thursday night.

Troopers say after pulling the car over for a moving violation, they found more than 1,100 Oxycodone pills along with a small amount of marijuana in the car. They say the drugs have a street value of $27,000.

The driver, 47-year-old Anthony D. Owens, and his passenger, 24-year-old Marquetta M. Davis, both from Michigan were arrested and charged with felony drug possession and trafficking,.

Both are being held the Scioto County Jail.
