BARBOURSVILLE, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Two people from Tennessee were arrested after police say they were doing drugs with a child and handicapped man in their vehicle.
Barboursville Police got a tip Wednesday morning, that a there was a truck parked at a gas station on East Mall Road, with a driver who appeared to be passed out, and a passenger who appeared to be loading a syringe and snorting something.
When police got on scene, they say they found Melissa Sue Napier, 28, and Lonnie Lea Napier, Jr. inside the vehicle, along with Sue Napier's 5-year-old son, and an adult male who was mentally handicapped, and in her care.
Police say there were a dozen pills found in the vehicle, that Sue Napier tried to hide.
They also say when they got on the scene, Lonnie Napier dropped a syringe, filled with a tan substance, onto the floorboard of the vehicle. Other needles and drug equipment were found in the vehicle.
Both are charged with child neglect creating risk of injury and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
Both are being held in the Western Regional Jail.
