BARBOURSVILLE, W.Va. (WSAZ) --A man from Huntington about to be released from jail now has an extended stay.
Kevan Curry, 45, has been charged with transporting a controlled substance into a jail after trying to smuggle drugs in his shoe.
Police say workers at the Western Regional Jail found two bags of drugs in Curry's shoes when he walked in.
The drugs are believed to be heroin and cocaine.
Curry remains in the Western Regional Jail on a $45,000 bond .
State police are investigating the incident.
