Crash on U.S. 52 Sends Three to Hospital

WAYNE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) – Three people were transported to the hospital for injuries after a crash on U.S. 52 Saturday night.

The crash happened along Meeting House Branch Road just after 6 p.m. Dispatchers in Wayne County say that’s about 5 miles south of Fort Gay.

Several fire departments responded to the scene, in addition to Wayne County Sheriff’s deputies. Police at the scene said two cars were involved and both were damaged on the passenger side.

According to the Dunlow Fire Department, two people were flown to the hospital and another person was transported by ground.

As of Sunday afternoon, there was no word on what caused the crash or on the conditions of any of the people who were hurt.
