Two Men Charged in Jackson Pill Bust

JACKSON COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Two people have been charged in a drug bust in Jackson County, W.Va., including a man investigators have been trying to catch for nearly a decade.

David Lee Trimble, 32, of Cottageville, and Michael Jay Richardson, Jr, 19, of, Cottageville, were charged Thursday night after a controlled drug buy near Ripley.

According to the criminal complaint, during the controlled drug buy an undercover officer paid Trimble $1,500 for 30mg tablets of Oxycodone.

The transaction was caught on an audio and video recording device, according to deputies. Investigators released pictures to from the surveillance video.

In the video, you can see Trimble get out of the car, while Richardson stayed in the driver's seat, according to deputies.

Jackson County Sheriff's Deputies tell Trimble has played a major role in the drug trafficking in the county for a decade, but they haven't been able to catch him in the act until Thursday night.

Trimble and Richardson are both charged with Delivery of a Controlled Substance.
