Two-Hour Standoff Ends Without Injuries

BOYD COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) -- A two-hour standoff with deputies ended when a man was tased and taken to the hospital.

It started on Fish Hatchery Road in Boyd County late Saturday night, and ended just before 2 a.m. Sunday..

The Boyd County Sheriff's Office says they received a shots fired call, and when they went to investigate, they found a 42-year-old man with a gun, threatening suicide.

After two hours, deputies were able to tase the man and get the gun away.

No one was injured.

The man was taken to King's Daughters Medical Center. His name hasn't been released.
