Two Hurt in South Charleston Crash

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Two people have been taken to the hospital after a two car crash in South Charleston.

The crash happened just before 7 a.m. in the 11- hundred block of Jefferson Road.

South Charleston Police say a pickup truck was heading north on Jefferson Road when the driver slammed on its brakes to avoid a car in front of it. The truck then went into the southbound lane and hit an oncoming car.

As of 7:30 a.m., Jefferson Road was closed. South Charleston Police tell WSAZ.com the vehicles could be towed away at any time, but until then a detour has been set up through the South Charleston Public Works parking lot.
