Two Men Facing Heroin Charges in Huntington

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Two Huntington men are facing drug charges after being caught with what police say was heroin.

According to the criminal complaints, Justin Kent, 30, of Huntington, and Samuel Frye, 34, of Wayne, are both facing charges.

Kent is being charged with delivery of a controlled substance and possession with the intent to deliver. Frye is being charged with possession with the intent to deliver.

According to the criminal complaints, Kent sold brown powdered heroin to a confidential informant in the 500-block of 4th Avenue on Tuesday. Officers caught up with Kent and Frye in the 1000-block of Jefferson Avenue.

Both men were carrying heroin, according to the complaints. Kent had 10 individual packets of heroin and Frye had nine individual packets.

Officers field tested the powdering substance and the results showed it to be heroin.

Kent's bail was set at $50,000, and Frye's bail was set at $25,000.

Both men will be back in court on Aug. 24 at 10:30 a.m.
