SCIOTOVILLE, Ohio (WSAZ) -- A man is facing charges after two people were stabbed over the weekend and police say it all started over how some kids were behaving at a get-together.

Portsmouth Police say it happened Sunday around 3 p.m. in the 1200-block of Buckley Avenue in Sciotoville.

When police got on scene, they say witnesses pointed out that Frank G. Scarberry, 35, of Sciotoville, was the suspect in this case.

Portsmouth Police tell that the group was having a get together and there was an argument between the adults about the actions of some kids.

They say Scarberry stabbed Kenneth Fletcher, 35, of Portsmouth, and Willard Akins, 61, of Sciotoville.

Fletcher was treated and released from a Columbus hospital.

Akins was stabbed in the upper torso and taken to a Huntington hospital. At last check, he was in stable condition.

Police say Scarberry admitted that he had a knife on him and they found it in his pocket.

Scarberry is charged with two counts of felonious assault.
