ASHLAND, Ky. (WSAZ) -- Two Boyd County women were arrested on prostitution charges after complaints of illegal activity in the area of Winchester Avenue in Ashland, according to a Kentucky State Police news release.
A 28-year-old woman from Catlettsburg was charged with prostitution, prostitution while infected with a sexually transmitted disease and loitering for prostitution purposes. An Ashland woman, also 28, was charged with prostitution and loitering for prostitution.
Troopers say the investigation began April 24 after receiving complaints about suspicious activity in the area of Winchester Avenue. They say the women who were arrested had made arrangements to engage in sexual contact for money.
