ASHLAND, Ky. (WSAZ) -- An informant is being credited for taking an alleged drug dealer off the streets.
According to a news release from the Boyd County Sheriff's Department, 47-Year-old Darrin Stafford was arrested about 11 p.m. Wednesday at 924 Wheatly Road.
Deputies say he sold 30 tablets of Oxycodone to an undercover informant with the Drug Task Force. Investigators used a search warrant at the house and discovered other narcotics along with a large amount of cash.
Stafford was charged with trafficking a controlled substance in the first degree. He's now at the Boyd County Detention Center.
