LOGAN COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- West Virginia State Police troopers have arrested two men they say worked together to steal guns.
They say Coty Walker and Michael Lafferty of Logan County burglarized a home in Mingo County this week, stealing $1,600 worth of firearms.
Lafferty and Walker are accused of stealing a rifle, a pistol and a shotgun. The pair was brought before a judge Friday.
Troopers say they sold the shotgun to a man in Spice Creek. They also believe the pair may be connected to a string of break-ins around the Man area of Logan County.
"It appears they both have a severe drug addiction to prescription medication," Trooper James Harris said. "We're looking into what other unsolved investigations as far as burglaries or other larcenies these two may have been involved in."
Lafferty told WSAZ.com he's confused about the whole ordeal.
"I wasn't caught with anything," he said. "I don't know what's going on; your guess is as good as mine. I'd like to just get out and get back to what I was doing."
