PITTSBURGH (AP) - Police in western Pennsylvania say a man was arrested after a police chase following the alleged abduction of a 2-year-old girl in West Virginia, and the child was found unharmed.

State police in Washington County say they found a disabled vehicle at about 1:30 p.m. Friday on Route 79 that had been reported stolen and involved in a kidnapping.

Troopers were later told that the suspect had stolen a cable company van in Richeyville.

He led police on a chase but was apprehended in Baldwin after crashing into police cruisers positioned to stop him.

Police said the child was found unharmed in a Richeyville home, and the motive for the alleged kidnapping is unknown.

Authorities said the 23-year-old Morgantown, W.Va., man was facing charges including fleeing police and aggravated assault.
