HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Drugs, guns and cash were seized late Monday night during a bust in the 800 block of 23rd Street in Huntington, West Virginia State Police said.
Troopers obtained a search warrant after they received numerous tips about the home. They knocked on the door and immediately smelled marijuana.
Jermon Rogue Webb, 32, answered the door and invited the troopers in.
When troopers told him they had received tips about drug activity, they say he become extremely nervous and told them, "Well I did smoke a blunt last night."
According to the criminal complaint, troopers asked Webb to empty his pockets. He had $1000 in cash on him and when asked where he was employed, Webb told them, "I don't work anywhere."
Investigators got a search warrant after seeing marijuana residue on the sandwich bags in the home.
When they went back to the home, they searched the trashcan in the kitchen and found 1.5 pounds of marijuana, a hand gun, and two digital scales with marijuana residue on them.
They also found three ounces of heroin in the kitchen cabinet, along with baggies.
Webb was taken into custody and charged with possession with intent to delivery heroin and marijuana, as well as possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.
